I apologize for being unreachable in the last year or so, but I hope to be able to resume making eyes for DollBakery soon. Summer to fall 2013 is the goal. 

Some news:

There will be a special preorder event. 

The special preorder will be open to everyone, and unlimited. It will run for a long time — long enough that everyone who wants to order can.

You will not have to pay for the eyes, or specify which color or size you want, until I’m actually ready to resume production. 

So if you participate in the special preorder, you will still have to wait until the summer or fall when I resume production for your eyes to be made. But, participating in this preorder will make you first in line for your eyes to be made, before the people who don’t participate.

Why a special preorder?

I need to get a sense for how many people want to buy my eyes once DollBakery is back in business so that I can scale my equipment and supplies appropriately. If I can anticipate demand, I can make waiting times as short as possible.

Hi everyone, I’m so sorry for not making any eyes these days.

DollBakery and I are “homeless” at the moment.

Creating eyes is not something you can do on your kitchen table; it requires a specialized workspace and equipment. Unfortunately, until I finish building my house, I don’t have a sufficient workspace.

As soon as I finish building my house and set up my studio workspace, production will resume.
