DollBakery urethane eyes update!
Production for the summer 2014 order period will be wrapping up next week, so if your order hasn’t shipped yet, don’t worry because it will be going out very soon. Thank you for your patience!
Last time I sent shipping notifications, I did get some bounced back emails. Please be sure to provide me with a valid email when you checkout because I will NEVER spam you — I only use it to send you your tracking number after your box ships :D
Since I know I’m going to get asked this — yup, there will be another order period fairly soon! I’ll be announcing it shortly. Please be on the email update list if you want to be the first to know. :3
Knock on wood! Urethane eye orders are presently open, and this is the longest time I’ve ever been able to keep orders open without the website exploding. I did get pretty nervous when the orders started flowing in, but it hasn’t crashed yet and I don’t think it’s going to! So I plan to keep it open for as long as possible.
Thank you everyone for the huge success so far! <3
Eyes shown: One of my fave new colors, Tie Dye!
Subscribe to the updates list, there’s going to be a secret coupon for this ;D
If you sub to the list but don’t get the coupon in time, please email me. (because the coupon hasn’t sent yet, but it will soon, so you might miss it unless you subscribe shortly after this is posted)
DollBakery is sponsoring Den of Angel’s 10th Anniversary celebrations. The winner of their photography contest will receive a custom-made pair of DollBakery urethane eyes!
The Photography contest will begin on August 15th and run until August 23rd. Voting will begin after that and voting will close at midnight, August 30th. Winners will be announced on August 31st.
I am not affiliated with the judging or prize selection, I’m just offering some eyes up to make the celebration a little merrier :] Please visit DOA if you would like more information.
Eyes shown above are 20mm and 12mm Sublime, check them out here!
You are correct that there has been no email since that one. It was scheduled to send this upcoming weekend.
And advanced spots were not “supposed” to be open until the weekend.
I was testing the ordering system on the new website, when some visitors apparently discovered that they could put orders through, and did. The cat was kind of out of the bag then. And I’ve decided to leave it — anybody who has already paid, I’ll honor their orders as valid. (and I certainly appreciate them, so those people shouldn’t feel bad about it or anything!!)
I have restocked all the spots that the “early birds” bought out, so there shouldn’t be a problem with shortages :]
Yes! :D Spots are tentatively open for the moment.
If you buy a spot now, it will be a few weeks before I email you & ask what color you want me to make for you.
I’m currently adding 1-3 new colors to the site per day (I’ve only been doing this since Monday, I think, so there’s still only a few colors) and I want to make sure everyone has the time to view and choose what color they want.
I have great news. I’m actually making eyes now!
Yes, I was able to get all of my resin casting equipment and supplies into a beautiful, temperature controlled, CLEAN indoor room at my new place!
No more machine shop dirt and filth. No more excessive humidity causing bubbles. No more extreme temps in the summer and winter that cause my urethane compound to basically turn into cheese (yeah that happened and it was nasty).
So it took a damn long time but it’s finally happening!!
I’m not going to be accepting orders yet though.
WHAT? WHY??? Because first, I’m working on a big batch of sample eyes that contains a bunch of new colors.
(I “officially” started production on Monday the 7th actually, so this batch is already about 1/4th of the way done)
Once this batch of sample eyes is done, then I’ll be able to photograph all the new colors for the website(so you guys will actually have pictures of what you’re ordering, lol), and THEN—THEN!— I’ll be able to open the preorder. I’m aiming for the end of July.
Oh, and also, I am now referring to “preorders” as “the ordering period” because the whole ‘preorder’ terminology was confusing some people. So, from now on, “ordering period” = “the period of time in which DollBakery is actively accepting orders.”
I’m also working on a new website of course. It will be up in a couple of days, but don’t expect to see any pictures of eyes there for a few more weeks, since as mentioned, I have to finish making them first.
Anyway… WOOHOO! Can’t wait to start accepting orders again since making eyes for you guys is basically my favorite thing!!
Thanks for your patience!
I’m in the process of moving and selling things. Here’s some of the doll stuff I have for sale… email dollbakery at live dot com if interested, and see this post for more things. (mostly Soom)
All parts have never been faceupped or blushed and have been sitting in their boxes since I received them.
Because I’m moving soon (YAY!) I have to sell some of my collection… (not-so-yay)
Unless otherwise noted, ALL DOLLS and RESIN PARTS are in PRISTINE condition, never been face upped, displayed, or modded. No exposure whatsoever to sun, pets or smoke odors. Basically all of these things have been sitting in a box since I bought them :[ They deserve someone who has more time to devote to them!
FS: LIMITED SOOM PARTS - no blushing
FS: CLOTHES AND THINGS
I may consider selling these — really not sure if I want to sell them yet… make an offer if you’re interested
All dolls come with certificates of authenticity, original paperwork, etc.
I can take pictures of any item you want, just contact me.
USA shipping for small items will be $6. If you buy 2+ items, shipping is free. (Dolls are excluded from this but if you buy a doll, anything else you buy ships free)
Non-USA shipping for small items will be $11.
Shipping for dolls can be quite expensive, sometimes as much as $50 for larger dolls. I will calculate the shipping for you, and if it’s too expensive, I’m happy to disassemble the doll for shipping. This allows me to ship in a smaller box, which saves you money. Either way, I’ll get you the best deal possible. I do not make money on shipping, ever.
I will do splits if all pieces have a buyer.
Paypal only please.
Yes, I do layaways. I’m very flexible, we can do whatever you need to do. However, all deposits are non-refundable, so make sure you’re serious about buying!

Thank you! <3
I was working on a very pale (kinda minty) green, but I will be sure to try to make a pale blue too!
